Teaching Training Available – The Thandulwazi Intern-Teacher Training Programme, in partnership with St Stithians College, is offering prospective teachers the opportunity to study towards a part-time 4-year Bachelor of Education (BEd) or 2-year post-graduate Certificate in Education through UNISA, at the same time working at Stithians Collage helping to obtain work experience.

Teaching Training Available Requirements

Passionate about exploring a career in teaching Mathematics, Physical or Life Science, English or Early Childhood Development/Foundation Phase.
Students already registered in one of the above courses with UNISA.
Learners who have completed their Grade 12 obtaining their Matric Senior Certificate who have interest in pursuit the career in teaching and has strong academic proven record particular in subjects like Maths and/or Science.
South African citizens residing in Johannesburg.
From previously disadvantaged groups and/or students in need of financial assistance.
(Students who wish to gain on-the-job experience, but don’t need financial assistance may also apply).

Benefits you will receive:

Mentoring by an experienced educator.
Applicant will receive a professional training and work experience within an IEB school environment.
Additionally the applicant may qualify for one of the following, depending on the applicant financial analysis:
Tuition Fees
Prescribed Textbook
Meals
Workshop conference allowance
A monthly stipend
