SAPS Learnerships Available
SAPS learnerships are offered by the South African Police Service. The SAPS is looking for young, talented, physically and mentally fit, energetic and intelligent individuals from all race and gender. Who are dedicated to serve their country South Africa by pursuing their career in policing. The individuals will be enlisted in the Basic Police Development Learning Programme.
SAPS Learnerships Available Requirements
Young South African with a proven Identity Document
Applicants must be willing to be appointed as member of the the South African Police Service, 1995 (Act no 68 of 1995)
Applicant must apply on a form by National Commissioner and affirm their oath
All applicants must be 18 and under 30 years of age.
All applicants must have completed their grade 12 successfully (Senior Certificate)
Preference will be given to applicant who are in possession of a drivers licence
Applicants will be required to undertake a physical medial examination determined by National Commissioner
Applicants must be found physically and mentally fit for the post.
Applicants will have to undergo a psychological assessment
Applicants must be fluent in at least two of the official languages and English must be one of them.
Applicants must be willing to take the oath of office
Applicants must be willing to undergo a training determined by the National Commissioner
Preference will be give to applicants who do not have visible tattoos in their body
Applicants must have no criminal records
Applicants must not have any civil, disciplinary cases and/or pending criminal cases.
All applicants finger prints will be taken
background check on the applicant will be made
All applicants must not be declared unfit to carry a firearm
Applicants must be prepered to service anywhere in South Africa
Applicant must have a body mass index of less than 30, waist circumference ≤ 102 cm (males) and ≤ 88 cm (females)
