Vodacom Bursary

Vodacom bursaries scheme started in 1999 through Vodacom’s commitment to approaching ICT skills shortage in South Africa. Since 1999 Vodacom has awarded one thousand bursaries, each year 50 learners are awarded bursaries to continue their studies to the fields are skills shortages in South Africa. All learners who are coming from the disadvantaged communities, their selection process is on the bases of their interest in studying in the field of ICT and engineering.

Engineering and Operations:

Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Light Current)
University of technology Diplomas and Degrees in related disciplines

Information Technology:

BSc Computer Science
BSc Computer Engineering
Information Systems
University of technology Diplomas and Degrees in related disciplines

Vodacom Bursaries Requirements

South African citizens
Applicants who wish to pursue undergraduate studies in a South African tertiary institution
Maximum household income of R150 000 per annum
Passed Grade 12 with exemption
Minimum C symbol in Mathematics and Science
Not more than 25 years old
Applicants who are currently studying their first year in highly learning institutions that are accredited in South Africa. Note that for first year applicants must meet the criteria and requirements of the bursary.
All learner/applicants from previously disadvantaged history will be given preference.
